Happy Blog Milestone to Me!

Art from my work, Commune I by Sean Jacobs

It's hard to believe but this is my one thousandth blog post! My first blog post was made on June 5, 2007, it was fun to look back on this post to see what I wrote about and the photos I posted (gosh the kids look so little!). Now 5 years later, averaging 200 posts a year/16-17 posts a month...I am happy to say I've devoted time to this family blog because it's created a closeness with family and friends near and far. I've been able to share our joys and sorrows, ups and downs, feelings and concerns, happy and bad news. And because these topics were blogged about, many of you reached out to me and showed your support - for that I am so grateful.

So here are some fun facts about my blog:
All time history pageviews 31,549, averaging 50-100 pageviews per day.
A lot of my traffic comes from Michaela, Mickie and the Duke Family blogs - thanks ladies for sending readers my way!
My top referring site is Google with over 5,000 searches with the top keyword being: spence ohana.

From my top 10 posts that are viewed, my post about My Favorite Indonesian Snacks is #1! With nearly 2,500 pageviews. So cool something I posted about my heritage is a popular topic.

Now for some highlight posts about my ohana and life...
This pic is from my blog post about our 6th wedding anniversary (my first "anniversary" post May 2008). I wouldn't have much to blog about if it weren't for Stephen. He is my lifetime love and who I created this beautiful ohana with. He is my rock and who I confide in first with all these topics I blog about. He is my biggest supporter, and I am so ecstatic God chose him to be my husband.
I love you babe.

My daughter amazes me. And I'm sure many of my readers already know this since I blog about her so much. From before she was even born, I knew she would light up the world - and so far she's done just that. I have high expectations that she will do something great and monumental in her life with the gifts God has bestowed on her. One of my favorite posts about her is about her television debut on Good Day Austin!

I don't think I like snuggling with anyone more than my snuggle bug, James (aka Jimmy-James). Before we found out that James was a boy during my pregnancy - I already had knew that God had given me a son and that he was going to be something very special. I still like to think of him as my baby, even though he's nearly 5. Man does this boy bring joy to our lives. Two of my favorite posts about him are: 7 Rules for Dating my Son, and Look Who's a BIG BOY.

I post often about my Catholic Christian Faith. It's a big part of my life, so no doubt it's a topic I choose to post about. I pray and hope my posts have never come across arrogant, but with a humble tone, written in charity and with efforts to unite Christians. You can view all my Catholic posts here.

This year I also started a 365 Daily Photo blog...if you can't tell by now I like to document things. Stephen, the kids and I all love to look back on photos and read what I posted about them so I am hoping for the future these blogs will be treasures of memories for our ohana.

Thank you to all my faithful blog readers in joining me on my blog journey, I truly do appreciate your support and comments - they always brighten up my days. And for those of you hoping to read my special announcement for King's Hawaiian that I wrote about here - I promise to be posting about it tomorrow.
Y'ALL COME BACK NOWYA HEAR? :)

Impressive! You are not only incredibly beautiful but enormously talented in everything you do. I just love reading your blog entries. Interesting and well written and they are filled with love. And what an awesome family the 4 of you are! I feel so honored to be your "oom". I so hope to see y'all at the end of September and will certainly do anything to make it work and fly out to SoCal for the 9/25 triple celebration. It's been too long.
