Stephen just celebrated his 3rd year anniversary with managing for Hertz! It's been a great ride, no pun intended!

Finally a weekend home...

We've been traveling so much and have had such a busy summer it was nice to have a weekend home. We still try to make it fun though! The kids always get super excited with the different cars Daddy brings home from work. So this weekend, the kids ran back in the house and said, "Mommy, mommy! Daddy brought home a convertible race car!". So we took a ride in our sweet ride to...the grocery store. Well the kids did get to get an Icee. Oh and just so people know why our daughter always displays this hand gesture in every photo - she's not a heavy metal rock star follower, she's just a true Texan Longhorn gal!

James reaction to driving with the top down. I think he kept his eyes closed the entire time we were driving!

Watermelon seed spitting champion....Madeline lost tooth #4 last night! And she has 2 other really loose teeth! Starting first grade next month, she'll be the toothless wonder. :)

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not...

...He Loves Me! :) Stephen's Hertz perk of having a free car and gas has us driving a new car practically ever 2-3 days. It's fun to test drive all these different cars. For the longest time I've been asking him to bring home these small cute cars so I can test drive them - his answer always "I'm not driving a girly car like that!". But to my surprise on Sunday he brought home one of the cars I wanted to drive, a VW bug! He really does love me. He said he left work in a hurry hoping no one saw him driving it. LOL And the past 2 days if we needed to drive anywhere as a family he always insisted that I drive. :) I can be assured he will switch cars when he goes back to work tonight. O'well it was fun while it lasted!

Good Answer Madeline

Tonight's conversation went like this...

Leaving Culver's after having a yummy family dinner:

Me: "You want me to drive?"

Stephen: "Uh ya..." (tired and with a full belly)

Me: "Vroom...vroom" (testing the horse power on the Super Sport Stephen brought home from work).

Stephen: "You better hurry." (noticing the yellow light I'm just about to run)

Me: "Vroom...vroom" (running the yellow light & testing the horse power on the Super Sport).

Madeline: "Mommy that light was yellow, that means you're supposed to slow down."

Me: "You're right Madeline, Mommy should have slowed down."

Stephen: (chuckling) "Ya Madeline, Daddy is just the better driver." (snicker)

Me: "Madeline, who is the better driver...Mommy or Daddy?"

Madeline: (long pause) "You both are!" :)

Stephen: "What!?"

Me: "Good answer Madeline." (snicker)

I've been "MEME"

Okay so I got "MEME" by Windy on her blog to complete this survey she did. I'm not very "hip" with the abbreviation lingo, so I had to Google what "MEME" stood for. Came across the website Urban Dictionary and this was what it said it meant:

meme (noun) 4 : in blogspeak, an idea that is spread from blog to blog; 5 : an internet information generator, especially of random or contentless information. (Etymology : meme : derived from the Greek mimëma, 'something imitated', by Richard Dawkins in 1976)

1. Do you like blue cheese? I used to eat it all the time, now not so much.

2. Have you ever smoked? Nope.

3. Do you own a gun? Nope, but we have some interesting neighbors that do and shoot it off on occasion, freaks me out!

4. What flavor of Kool-Aid was your favorite? Berry Punch.

5. Do you get nervous before doctor's appointments? A little, but while pregnant you go so often that I stopped getting nervous.

6. What do you think of hot dogs? Ate some today for lunch with the kids, topped them with chili and cheese!

7. Favorite Christmas movie? Polar Express (same as Windy)

8. What do you prefer to drink in the morning? Either Apple or Orange juice.

9. Can you do push ups? Probably.

10. What is your favorite piece of jewelry? My wedding ring! (same as Windy)

13. What is one trait you hate about yourself? I dislike that I can be bossy with my family at times.

29. Favorite name for a girl? My first pick was Elise (Madeline's middle name) I also liked Gwendolyn if our 2nd was going to be a girl.

30. Favorite name for a boy? James, we also liked Samuel, Solomon and Benedict.

32. Last thing that made you laugh? Nigel (the judge of the tv show So You Think You Can Dance!)

35. Do you love where you live? Yes, it's home. It would be nice if we were closer to family and friends though.

36. How many TVs do you have in your house? 2, 3 if you count Stephen's in his "Man Garage".
