Spooky :)

Jimmy-James our spooky ghost, and Madeline our Spider Queen.

Daddy took a break from work and drove all the way home to see his spooky kids on All Hallows Eve. The kids love to scare their daddy.

Trick or treating around our neighborhood with James' best bud, Pirate Aaron.

I love this shot. James did spook some of the little ones we walked by - and he was super happy that he convinced some people handing out candy that he was a real spooky ghost.

And I'm not sure how, but James seem to have gotten almost double the candy of Madeline. He must have been taking more than one at the houses who left out buckets of candy. LOL

The kids had a great day!

Busy

We've had a busy couple of days. Madeline was invited to two classmates costume birthday parties this weekend. James was able to go along to yesterdays. It was at one of those jumpy house places.

The kids had fun dressing up and had a blast at the party. Madeline dressed as a good witch and James wore his old astronaut costume (you can tell because the pants are too short) because his dragon one wouldn't work very well to jump in.

On Thursday evening Madeline's school had a circus theme festival. They have a themed festival every October, and it's free for all the students families to come.

In the library and computer room they had a very funny clown putting on a show. And they also had an art station set up where the kids could make paper animal face masks.

In the gym the Texas State University gymnast came to perform as the circus tumbler act. They were very impressive and the kids said a lot of "WOWs!"

Fun entertainment!

They also had an area in the gym were the kids could walk the tight rope (a long wood plank) and practice balancing in these funny shoes. We had a very fun time!

Looking forward to trick-or-treating...

Madeline is super excited to go trick or treating this year, she keeps asking me what kind of candy the neighbors will hand out. It will be interesting to see how James does going door to door this year. Last year he couldn't walk yet, so he just sat in the stroller and eventually fell asleep. James is really into mimicking Madeline, so hopefully he'll enjoy going door to door as much as Madeline. Madeline is going to dress up as Snow White and James will be a Cowboy.

"Halloween is going to suck this year!"
Robyn emailed me this comic - thought it was hilarious...yet sad and true. I was going to forward it on but figured I'd just post it on my blog.
