I'm 34. Stephen and I started dating when we were 17. I've known him half my life now. Today we celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary! I wanted to do something very special for him, so where did I turn to...Pinterest. I got this balloon idea from here and here. The white balloons are for the 7 years we dated. And the silver balloons are for the 10 years we've been married.

I taped each of the photos/memories below on the balloons.

On the 10th wedding anniversary, the traditional gift to give is tin or aluminum. So again I turned to Pinterest and got the idea here to make an art wall hanging with the lyrics to our wedding song. And fortunately for me, I work at one of the coolest art companies around and was able to print it on ALUMINUM. :) We both loved the song, "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. Whenever Stephen would sing it to me he would change one lyric. Can you guess which one? I'll give you a hint, I'm not blonde. :) Anyhow, I fondly remember dancing with him to this song at our reception...the ceiling/roof opened up, surprised all of our guests, and you could see the starry night sky above us. It was perfect.

Incase you've never heard the song, here is the version by Eric Clapton that we played:

P.S. The kids made and wrapped their own gifts for us.
For Dad - Takis (spicy chips)
For Mom - Homemade Necklace
For Both of Us - Paperbag puppets, a girl and a boy. :)

Whoa, How cute are you guys through the years! I don't think Matt and I ever took that many pictures together unfortunately... :(

Happy Anniversary! I wonder what Stephen has planned for you?

Happy 10 year Anniversary!! :) What a blessed life you two have lived! I love hearing about couples who are still so happy in their marriage.

I love all of your anniversary ideas! I think I might try out the balloon thing for Paul's birthday (our 2 year anniversary might look sad with only 2 balloons!). And the lyrics present...amazing!! I'm going to have to use that in 8 years! ;-)

Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend and a great week ahead!
