WC (pronounced "waysay")

WC, that's what my parents call it in Dutch. But I'm finding myself using the term "Potty" with my kids. Either way I am very thankful for the invention of the modern day Flush Toilet. Could you imagine having to use a Squat Toilet everyday or even worse having to use an outhouse or a latrine!?

But the purpose of my post today is one complaint I have about them...
Whomever designed them did not take into account making them easy to clean!

Ugh, one of my least favorite house chores, cleaning our 3 toilets. And Stephen and James don't make it any easier. I remember when I was younger my brothers and I would rotate cleaning the sinks, the bathtub, and the toilet each week. But my Dad said since I'm a girl it's not fair I had to clean up after my brothers messy usage of the toilet, so I got to skip rotation of cleaning them. But I'm afraid if I left the potty cleaning up to Stephen and James they wouldn't be that clean. So I scrub...

My toilet cleaning tips: I like to use those Clorox bleach drop-ins for the water tank so every flush has bleach that kills bacteria. I also like to use Clorox Tough Stain Remover because it helps get rid of rust and mineral stains (we have hard water). And lastly I love using Scrubbing Bubbles Fresh Brush MAX and flushable pads to get the job done.

Seriously though. I. Dislike. Cleaning. Toilets.

LOL. I feel your pain. I can only imagine what it's going to be like once my little boys are teenage boys. Ugh.

Me too, i hate cleaning toilet BUT I hate cleaning our tub shower even MORE. Now that one is a pain in the bum with our terrible hard water. If you miss a spot its SO noticeable!

My Dad was very particular when it came to toilets and in general bathrooms and dishes. So, I take that responsibility in our house. Guess I like making sure it's done right :)
