Reign of Fire
rated PG-13
I gave this movie *** stars.
This first dragon movie we watched via Netflix was this one. In post-apocalyptic England, an American volunteer (Matthew McConaughey) and a British survivor (Christian Bale) team up to fight off a brood of fire-breathing dragons seeking to return to global dominance after centuries of rest underground. Stephen fell asleep, not because he was bored but because he was tired. So I watched the rest of it, it was an enjoyable movie!
How to Train Your Dragon
rated PG
We gave this movie **** stars.
The 2nd dragon movie we saw this week was in the theaters. We took the kids to see this eye-catching, colorful animation in 3D! It's a cute story about Vikings battling off dragons. It has great action and quality voice talent. We really enjoyed this one, it's worth seeing. And now I've got to fill the kids Easter baskets with dragon and viking stuff!
The Stoning of Soraya M.
rated R
I gave this movie **** stars.
This movie definitely isn't for the weak of heart. There's realistic scenes of a stoning. From the filmmaker who produced “The Passion of the Christ” comes a powerful film, a modern-day parable, based on an incredible true story of sacrifice, oppression and mob rule. A village’s persecution of an innocent woman. my watching it through tear-filled eyes at points, I do highly recommend this movie.
