Blessed Savior, We thank you that Mom's operation is safely past, and now may she rest in your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of your healing life into every part of her being. In moments of pain may she turn to you for strength. Grant her a speedy recovery from any infections. Amen
For those of you that have not heard, my mom had an emergency appendicitis surgery earlier today. She started feeling sick this weekend with what she thought was possibly a stomach flu but ended up being a ruptured appendix. She is in her recovery room now at the hospital and will spend a few days there being pumped with antibiotics to fight off any infection the ruptured appendix may cause. At first the news of all this really worried me, my mom is never seriously ill - she's the one always taking care of others. After the initial worrying, I prayed hard that her surgery would go without any complications and that my mom would be cared for and okay. Tonight for my mom I am thankful for God's mercy and grace.
