Crock-pot Lasagna

I've been finding some really yummy crock-pot recipes on Pinterest. So I decided to try this one. Growing up my mom always made homemade lasagna. But I remember it taking awhile to prepare and then bake time in the oven. This way using the crock-pot seemed less time consuming. I modified the recipe a little so I'll post my version here. You'll need:

1lb. ground beef
1 jar of your favorite pasta sauce
1 can of tomato sauce, Italian herb flavor
1 small tub of Ricotta cheese
1 cup of shredded Italian mixed cheese
1 box of oven ready lasagna noodles
salt
onion flakes
non-stick cook spray
crock-pot

First you brown your ground beef, season with salt and onion flakes to liking. Drain ground beef. Mix can of tomato sauce with ground beef. Next spray the bottom of your crock-pot with non-stick spray. Put one layer of pasta noodles on the bottom (I broke mine in half to make them fit better in the crock-pot). Then put a layer of the ground beef mixture. Then some dollops of ricotta over the layer. Next press down another layer of pasta noodles. Pour your pasta sauce all over the pasta noodles. Sprinkle with shredded Italian cheese. Repeat layering again starting with the ground beef mixture layer. End with the shredded Italian cheese layer. Put your crock-pot on low and cover for 4 hours.

It's that easy. Took less than 20 minutes to prep. And it was cooked perfectly (just like my mom's lasagna) in the crock-pot. I toasted some garlic bread in my toaster oven and served it along with salad. It was such an easy dinner to make. And the kids loved it!
