Monday Movie Review

The Twilight Saga: New Moon
rated PG-13
We gave this movie *** and a half stars.
This is the sequel to Twilight. Bella Swan is reeling from the departure of her vampire love, Edward Cullen, and finds comfort in her friendship with Jacob Black, a werewolf. Stephen and I are definitely "Team Werewolf"! Of course the movie ends leaving room for another sequel. Looking forward to seeing the next one!

Paper Clips
rated G
Stephen gave this movie *** stars.
I only watched a few parts from it. But it's about Whitwell Middle School in rural Tennessee doing an extraordinary experiment in Holocaust education. Struggling to grasp the concept of 6 million Holocaust victims, the students decide to collect 6 million paper clips to better understand the enormity of the calamity. The film details how the students met Holocaust survivors from around the world and how the experience transformed them and their community. It actually cause me to request hearing from my parents, tantes and ooms of their parents wartime stories. Both of my Opa's were put in Japanese concentration camps for several years, and my great grandparents along with my great oom went into hiding in Holland from the nazis. I'm documenting all these stories so one day I can share this history with Madeline and James.

I liked New Moon more than Twilight, but the books are SO much better than the movies!! You should read the 3rd book before you watch the movie :)
