On Friday while we were waiting for all of the Tengbergens to arrive we took David, Armilyn and Alexander out to a favorite spot, the Oasis restaurant overlooking Lake Travis in Austin. Mom requested that I try and get a photo of her 3 grandchildren, I was able to get the above one of James, Madeline and Alexander sitting on a wheel barrel bench out front of the Oasis.
Eating some yummy fajitas!
Maddy and Alex checking out the view!
Family photo shot of David, Alexander and Armilyn.
The kiddos checking out the many fountains at the Oasis.
The boys sticking their hands in the water.

Out in the parking lot they had this cool metal spaceship. The kids thought it was really cool!

Early Saturday morning we took the Bertram Flyer, an Austin Steam Train. It took us on an hour long ride through some small towns stopping by an old 1912 train station. It was a lot of fun! In this group shot, on the bottom row from left to right: David, Ariel, Alexander, Armilyn, James, myself, Eric and Nathan. On the top row from left to right: Whitney, Pamela, Kiara, Madeline, Stephen, and Maureen.
The seating was really neat, with 2 seats facing 2 seats. Gave us all a chance to talk and catch up, play games, eat snacks and check out the views. Here is Stephen, Whitney and Ariel.
The girly-girls, Kiara and Madeline.
Armilyn and David.
Me and Ariel. :)
Maureen and Pamela.
Happy Boy James. :)
Alexander was looking out the window practically the entire train ride.
Ariel standing (not on the yellow line!) in between the 2 train cars.
Eric and Nathan with one of the train crew workers.
After the train ride we were all starving so we headed to Uncle Billy's near downtown Austin. It turned out being a very yummy and fun lunch!
Here's the crew trying to figure out what to order.

Stephen being silly with Armilyn, Whitney and Nathan.
There was construction near the restaurant so they had a free parking shuttle to the lot.
Everyone was happy and FULL! :)
Later that evening the ladies broke out a bottle of wine. Good times.
Sunday morning was Father's Day...(also my mom and Tante Hanna's birthdays!). So Stephen finally received the pottery items Madeline and I painted with my mom a few weeks back. Madeline made him the doggy candy dish and I painted his Red Sox / Viking coffee mug.
He liked them both very much.
Later that morning we caravan ed out to the popular swimming hole west of Austin, Hamilton Pool Preserve. It a bit of a hike down to the pool, but very worth it! It was a beautiful spot!
The water was very refreshing, we swam for hours!
James getting a turn on the floating raft.
It had this real nice gravel beach area. There were lots of people there that day.
It usually has a nice size waterfall, but with the drought season we've had it's slowed down to a small trickle.
Here are Armilyn, Madeline and Kiara under the trickling water.
The girls were having such a good time! :)
Here are Pam, Armilyn, Ariel and Kiara under the rock over hang area.

After we returned home from Hamilton pool we decided to bbq burgers and dogs for Father's Day. Stephen did an awesome job - it all tasted great!
Eric managed to get these cool shots of Nathan doing flips on our trampoline!
Nathan's so silly!
To end an awesome day we got an ice cream cake to celebrate all the great dads along with celebrating all the recent May and June birthdays in the family.
The cake was gone before the weekend ended. :) On the last day, Monday, we went tubing on the San Marcos river again, this time with both David and Eric's families. I still need to upload those photos so I will put those in a post to follow. We had an awesome time with everyone and was so happy we were able to plan such an awesome gathering!
