Prayer Request for Oom Sam

I just got word from my parents that Oom Sam is in the hospital. He was having prostate pain which he went to the doctor with and received medication. But the pain got worse and Tante Eef had to call 911 and have him brought to the hospital in the ambulance. After some testing, come to find out Oom Sam has diabetes as well as problems with his prostate. So he is being hospitalized and being treated first for his diabetes, after that is under control there has been talk about possible surgery to remove his prostate. Poor Tante Eef who has not driven in several years is having trouble getting to and from the hospital (car troubles too). So my parents received all this news several hours ago, they packed their bags and are on the road to Vegas right now as I type. I know my parents help and support will be of some comfort to them. Please, keep Oom Sam in your prayers. I love him and Tante Eef dearly and worry about them in their older age. .

Prayer for the Sick and Seniors
All praise and glory are yours,

Lord our God.

For you have called us to serve you and one another in love.

Bless our sick today so that they may bear their illness

in union with Jesus' sufferings and restore them quickly to health.

Bless those who have grown old in your service

and give them courage and strength in their faith.

Lead us all to eternal glory.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Your Son, who lives and reigns with you

and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.

Prayer Before Surgery for Oom Sam
Loving Father, we entrust Oom Sam to your care this day; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, that Oom Sam may be restored to soundness of health. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.
