Moving on up :)

At work yesterday my boss called me into his office and offered me a new position at the company! For the 3 months I've been with the company I've been working as a Lead Generation teleservice rep, making calls to Interior Designers / Architects and retailers across the country to see if they utilized artwork and if they did I got them more info about us. When I was hired they were aware of my background (Art & Architecture), experience (7 years at an Architecture firm) and my BA in Graphic Design, so my boss said he was quite confident that I would eventually be able to move up into maybe an Art Consultant position. Well just recently a position opened up in their Prepress department and they needed someone with Photoshop experience who could work with their Print Clients/Artist, scan and color correct their artwork - so they offered it to me! :) I could still keep my part time hours, which is great, and they are willing to have me go through some Photoshop refresher training (paid for) so I feel comfortable moving into the position. I feel so blessed to have been given this opportunity, and it's great getting "back into" my passion line of work. So I just wanted to share the great news!
