Whatever you say Mr. Ump

And he's out!...No wait ump says he's safe.

And he's out!...No wait ump says he's safe, AGAIN. Ugh, sigh.

Red Sox lost game 1 last night to the Halos. And no we're not whining about loosing and using the obviously really bad ump calls as an excuse - but fact is the bad calls do affect the game, players upset and loose focus, our pitcher has to pitch more which could've changed the outcome of men on base and from that HR occurring. Another fact that was brought to my attention this morning, and it's a great one, that the Angels have never won a series in which they won the first game. :)

Go Red Sox!

Red Sox fans - Madeline and James, 2007.

Tonight is game 1 of of our Division Series against the Halos. The Angels are 1-9 in their three Division Series attempts against the Red Sox. Lets keep it like that and win, win, win!!!! Go Red Sox! I love this old portrait of Madeline and James. Guess it's time to take a new one of them with their new BOSOX wear we brought back from Boston last month.

This past Tuesday evening was Open House at Madeline's elementary school. Unfortunately Stephen had to work and missed it. Madeline, James and I hit of the book fair in the library before going to her class. I always loved the book fair when I was younger. Madeline had a difficult time deciding on some books but finally got one about a sick bear and another about Barbie ballerina. James got a Spongebob book. :) When we got to class 3 of Madeline's girl classmates ran up to her yelling her name and then the 4 of them did a group hug. It was really cute. I have so many cherished memories of my childhood friendships made at school, and I am in touch with most of them still to this day. James loved checking out sissy's classroom. And Mrs. Moore even showed James their class frog - he was actually cute. We have a parent/teacher conference with Mrs. Moore on Monday, but from what she's told us already Madeline is a blossoming student, well behaved and Mrs. Moore loves having her in her class.

Red Sox head to ALCS‏!!!

It was like Stephen's birthday last night! :-)

The Halo's came close...but no cigar! It was a happy night at Fenway last night!

I'd say he's tagged out.

The ump made the right call...
Umpire Tim Welke disagreed, insisting that Varitek held the ball long enough to tag out Willits even though it popped loose when the catcher hit the ground. This was not a case where the ground can't cause a fumble.
"That's the NFL," said Steve Palermo, the Major League supervisor of umpires, after the game. "We don't have that in baseball. He had possession of the ball when he made the tag."

Woo hoo, victory is SWEET. :-)

P.S. Props to our Vikes winning MNF!!! What an exciting night!

3 Games Up!

The Rockies have nothing on us!

Here we go Red Sox, here we go! (Clap, clap!)

And another stolen base...don't know if that means we get 2 free tacos now!?
