the great bowl of the sky

Everything is bigger in Texas. That was one of the first things we noticed when we moved here, how big the sky appeared - it was big, bright, blue and never ending! The sunsets are amazing here. Growing up in So Cal, we had mountain ranges. Same when we lived in So Oregon. But here there are no mountain ranges. We live in the Hill Country (it's a little hilly), so we're not in the flatest parts of Texas. But still the sky seems so big. Last night after a storm passed Stephen told the kids to come outside and check out the beautiful rainbow!

Okay muscle man pose! They're so silly.

Okay scary monster pose!

I love this rendition of "Somewhere over the Rainbow" by Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwoʻole. He's definitely my all time favorite Hawaiian music artist.

I also love this rendition by American Idol contestant Jason Castro.

I love IZ! I don't love Jason, but I do love his rendition too.
Fun pictures you took.

I was just listening to that song a few days ago and singing with Ty. He loved it!

Cool rainbow pictures, is it starting to be a bit more rainy there? We've had TONS of summer thunder storms followed by tons of pretty rainbows too :)
