Earthquake in Indonesia and Tsunami in SamoaMy heart is heavy for all those victims who just experienced these natural disasters and for those that lost their lives because of them. My parents were both born in Indonesia, and one of Stephen's best friend's family is from Samoa. I cannot even fathom experiencing such a devastating disaster. Not to mention the fear of having my family survive such terrifying events. When I found the above photo of the little Indonesian girl, my first thought was "wow I looked just like this girl when I was that age!" and my second thought was "I cannot imagine Madeline and James having to go through such a scary experience that this little girl is going through."
Please pray with me for these victims:
God of Hope, hear our prayer.
We pray for the victims of all natural disasters, especially for the ones that suffered the Earthquake in Indonesia and Tsunami in Samoa. For the elderly without shelter, for the children without homes & schools, and for those who have lost loved ones; may comfort be theirs amidst this painful time. We pray to you Lord. Amen.

I am really sad about this too. I went to BYU-Hawaii with lots of Polynesians, especially Samoans, and have lots of friends that for sure their families were affected. They are all in our prayers for sure.
