The time has finally come, our oldest child starts school this Monday! Madeline is 5 1/2 years old and will be starting Kindergarten this school year. Fortunately we moved before school started and now she will be attending the elementary school (pictured above) just down the road from our new home. It's too far to walk from our home, so she will be picked up by the school bus. Madeline is SUPER excited to start school and ride the bus! I think I'm more nervous than she is. I took her to Kohl's the other evening and let her pick out her first day of school outfit. Of course it's pink and has a glittery horse on it. And Oma bought her a new pair of High School Musical shoes that go perfectly with the outfit. It's going to be so strange with Madeline gone from the house 7am-3pm. I know James is going to miss his sissy! So tonight we attend "Back to School Night" and meet Mrs. Moore, her new teacher. And get to see her classroom. We'll also get to meet the P.E., Music and Art teachers as well. And talk with the bus transportation people. It's a big night! :)

Whoa 7-3? So much for half day kindergarten... right? At least thats what they had in Oregon. AM and PM classes. It's awesome that Madeline is excited, we'll need to see pictures soon of her in her cute first day of school outfit!:)
