The Best Moms

Stephen and his mom & me with my mom
Stephen and I both feel incredibly blessed to have been raised by our moms, they were and still are the best! A major characteristic of mothers is the ability to be nurturing and relational. And those abilities were definitely ones both our moms possessed. How do we ever thank them for all that they have done for us? The answer that seems most logical, to be the best parents we could be using all that they have taught us. They brought so much goodness in our lives, we hope to bring as much goodness to our children. We love you moms! Happy Mother's Day.

Today I gave James and Madeline haircuts. Last time I gave James a cut he really wiggled away a lot and was not too keen of the buzzers. This time he was pretty good, sat still (with 2 bags of fruit snacks) and let me cut/trim his hair with scissors and buzz the sides and back. So the other night Madeline was using her craft scissors, she's been cutting out paper and making lots of creative stuff - BUT she and Mia decided to try and cut their hair! It wasn't until today that I noticed the hair that framed her face was chopped off by 5 inches! Naughty girl! I didn't want to trim it even more to give her bangs so I decided to give her a short haircut, I cut off about 4 inches off the back. A nice short cut for the hot summer. Madeline really likes it, so does Stephen. :) So that's good!

Stephen called from work today and said when he gets off at 4pm he and the kids wanted to take me out to an early Mother's Day dinner since he works all day tomorrow. I decided I was in the mood for Mama Fu's Asian House. Turns out they were giving free entree's to mamas this week! So when Stephen got home and got a really sweet card from him and the kids. And to my surprise Stephen brought me from work a Magellan® Maestro™ gps touchscreen! You see at Hertz when cars get returned you wouldn't believe the amount of things that customers leave behind. It of course gets tagged and put into a lost and found, but after it's been there for 30 days then it gets tossed or the person that found it can have it. Stephen found this, so now it's mine. Way cool!

We had a fun dinner at Mama Fu's! :)

James gives the BEST puckered lips kisses! :)

We loved their pot stickers, even the kids loved em! :)

Afterwards we let the kids play in the playground right outside Mama Fu's patio seating. They love to play at this play scape.

My children make me so happy! :)

And so does my hubby!
Happy Mother's Day to all my mommy blog readers!
