Today, Palm Sunday, is the last Sunday of Lent and begining of Holy Week. Last year we were able to attend Palm Sunday Mass at St. Mary's Cathedral downtown. Unfortunately this year Stephen has to work all day. Every Palm Sunday I love to receive my blessed palm fronds and weave together a cross as I listen to one of the four Canonical Gospels of the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem in the days before his Passion. And the homily that Father will give after. I am so very thankful for God sending His Son our Savior Jesus Christ.
Almighty and everliving God,
in your tender love for the human race
you sent your Son our Savior Jesus Christ
to take upon him our nature,
and to suffer death upon the cross,
giving us the example of his great humility:
Mercifully grant that we may walk in the way of his suffering,
and also share in his resurrection;
through Jesus Christ our Lord,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
