Thanks to Oma for her generous Christmas money she gave us we were able to purchase our first laptop! And perfect timing...our 6.5 year old desktop went "ka-put!" this past weekend. Fortunately my Dad was able to troubleshoot the problem and talked me through replacing the Bios battery on the motherboard - the desktop is back up and running. But it's old, and it was time to get a new computer. It was either that or a back up external hard drive. We opted to get a laptop instead. There were several New Years sales going on but we went with the Compaq for sale at Wal-mart for $398. So far we are really pleased with it! It's great to be able to sit anywhere in the house and be online. Last night we watched the Prison Break episode we missed online on our laptop in bed! Very cool.

Sweet! I keep saying I need to get a laptop (besides the one my work lets me use) they are AWESOME for school. That is a good deal you found for sure!
