Cooler Weather makes for a Nice Weekend!

Ever since Hurricane Ike passed through Texas, the temps have seemed to cool down. We're using our a/c a lot less, if not at all on some days and opening up the windows. Yesterday evening we took the kids to the city park to enjoy the fresh air!

This is at a park near our city post office. There was a co-ed adult softball game going on next to us. We had fun swinging on the swings.

James normally doesn't like the swings, but he's smiling here. :-)

The love of my life. :-)

Our beauty.

Stephen wanted to take a photo of me trying on his Maui shades he scored at work since the customer never came back to claim them. They were really lite in weight and polarized.

Jimmy wanted to try on Dada's shades and BOSOX cap too!

Silly boy. :-)

We left at sunset. Here's are latest Hertz car, a Subaru. I really like it. Can you tell we're in Texas...no mountain lines and a water tower. LOL

Today after Mass we got some lunch at Steak'n'Shake. It was alright (good shakes), but we like Culver's better. After lunch we went to the Frisbee Golf park near our house, let the kids play some more and then we drove by these cotton fields next to our neighborhood. Stephen wanted to get out and feel the cotton blossoms...yup they feel like cotton balls. :-)
