Salsa & Kids

Happy New Years everyone!

So we have recently revolutionized our homemade salsa recipe, and it's super yummy so I thought I would share the recipe with y'all! It's super easy to make!

Here's a pic of the batch I just made 20 minutes ago.

Ingredients:
1 large can of whole peeled tomatoes
1 bunch of cilantro
1 bunch of green onions
1 small can of diced jalapenos (medium)
3-4 dried red chili peppers
1 TSP of minced garlic
1 TSP of salt
3-4 dashes of cumin powder
2 TSP of lemon or lime juice

I make it all in a blender. First I drain the juices from the can of tomatoes into the blender. Add the diced jalapenos, chili peppers, minced garlic, salt and cumin powder. Blend. Second I then add half the can of tomatoes and cut off the ends (white part) of the green onions and add. Blend. Lastly I add the bunch of cilantro, the remainder of the tomatoes and the lime juice. Blend and it's done!

Today Stephen took down the Christmas lights off of our house. We also received our electric bill for the month of December, not too bad $74. The kids and I went out for a few hours to meet some women that I've been chatting online with for a few years. In 2006 we were all due with baby boys in October 2006. So that's how we met online on Babycenter. Well we all live in Central Texas and finally were able to meet up! We took the kids to a children's museum. They had a ton of fun. And one of the boys also had an older sister (5 years old) so Madeline had a playmate too!

It was great finally putting a face to a name. These ladies are super cool, and we plan to meet up again soon!
